Join us for our annual volunteer day to load up the cabins with firewood for winter use.

This year, we are asking volunteers to RSVP. By RSVP’ing for the event, we can better accommodate everyone, reduce paper waste, and volunteers can avoid lines on the day.
WhaT TO EXPECT
Come for the day or stay and camp alongside Friends. Both cabins will be open to volunteers to stay in or camp nearby on Friday and Saturday. Parking at the campground area is limited, so please carpool or hike if you can.
This volunteer event is focused on getting the cabins ready for the winter season. Together, we will move 8-10 cords of wood to restock the Guard Station and A-Frame. Small teams will also help clear debris, clean the cabins, and make minor repairs as needed. No experience needed.

Head up to the Tilly Jane Campground and meet up at the Guard Station. Parking is limited, so hike or drive directions
how to prepare
We will have work gloves available to use from our friends at Kinco. Volunteers are expected to wear sturdy boots, pants, and dress in layers as fall temperatures can vary (check the forecast before you head up). We recommend bringing a dust mask, bandana, and eye protection, as supplies are limited.
Please bring a refillable water bottle, a lunch, and additional meals if you are staying the night. We will have drinking water and other beverages available for all volunteers during the event.
You must wear sturdy boots, work gloves, eye protection, and long pants to participate.
We recommend bringing your own lunch/snacks, refillable water bottle, and clothing for ALL KINDS OF WEATHER.
